Brexit: future trade between the UK and EU in goods inquiry

Inquiry

The EU External Affairs Sub-Committee published a report on the implications of Brexit for the UK’s trade in goods with the EU. This report considers the potential impact of Brexit on trade in six goods sectors: chemicals and pharmaceuticals, capital goods and machinery, food and beverages, oil and petroleum, automotive and aerospace and defence. The Sub-Committee considered the impact of tariffs, non-tariff barriers, administration costs, preferential agreements with third countries and the investment and business climate on the manufacturing and primary commodities sectors.
