Implementation of the EU air quality Directive

The EU Energy and Environment Sub-Committee held a one-off session on the UK's implementation of the EU air quality Directive (Directive 2008/50/EC). This followed the decision by the European Commission to refer the UK to the Court of Justice of the UK for persistently breaching the limit set by the Directive for nitrogen dioxide.
