Committee hears from Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman and PHSO Chief Executive in annual scrutiny session

On Tuesday 22 January, the Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee holds the second session of its annual scrutiny of the Parliamentary and Health Services Ombudsman (PHSO).

Purpose of the session
Following a hearing on the value for money review of the PHSO's work called for by the Committee last year, the Committee will take evidence from Ombudsman Rob Behrens, and PHSO Chief Executive Amanda Campbell; and is expected to question them on the review's findings, including that the PHSO is moving out of “critical care” as an organisation.
The Committee will also focus on the work of the PHSO over 2017-18, including the impact of its restructure on its performance, and the implementation of the PHSO's 2018-21 strategy.
