The Constitution Committee is conducting a short follow-up inquiry on 'Judicial Appointments' to consider how recommendations made in its 2012 report have been implemented, and to what effect.

Inquiry
The Committee will be exploring issues related to judicial appointments and recruitment, including diversity and the recent difficulties experienced by the Judicial Appointments Commission in filling judicial vacancies.
Submitting evidence
Written evidence is not being actively solicited for this short inquiry. If, however, any individual or organisation would like to make a written submission they should, in the first instance, contact the Committee staff.
Timeline
Oral evidence sessions will take place in March. The Committee intends to publish its report by the end of the Session 2016-17.
