National rail timetable change examined

The Transport Committee hears from passenger groups, the national transport users' watchdog, Transport Focus and consumer organisation Which? on the implementation of the 20 May national rail timetable change.

Purpose of the session

The Committee will seek to understand the nature and extent of detrimental effects on passengers; assess steps taken to date to put things right, including the adequacy and fairness of compensation packages; and look to identify recommendations to ensure future timetable changes are handled much more effectively, restoring passengers' trust in the railway. This is the penultimate evidence session for the Committee's inquiry into rail timetable changes.
