Oversight of UK spending on Ebola in West Africa

Inquiry

The UK is working with the United Nations, the World Health Organisation and the wider international community to combat the Ebola virus at its source in West Africa. The government has committed a £230 million package of direct support to help control the spread of Ebola and treat sufferers, in addition to the UK’s support to international agencies including the World Bank and the UN’s Central Emergency Response Fund.

The Committee is holding a one-off evidence session to seek reassurance on how effectively and efficiently UK aid to tackle Ebola is being spent.
