Department for International Development's Annual Report 2015-16

Inquiry

DFID’s Annual Report describes 2015-16 as a critical year for international development, from game-changing global agreements to the UK’s Aid Strategy, and with increasing aid spent by other parts of Government while DFID manages the 0.7% target. The Department is also dealing with the implications of Brexit and the approach of a new Secretary of State.

This evidence session will examine how and where DFID is spending its budget in response to these changes, the challenges of maintaining the focus on poverty reduction while aligning aid spending with the national interest, and responding to recent political changes.
