UK policy towards Iran

Inquiry

The Foreign Affairs Committee is conducting an inquiry into the UK Government’s policy towards Iran. The Committee is considering the current state of UK-Iranian relations and whether the UK Government is moving at the right speed to normalise the diplomatic relationship. The Committee is also interested in Iran’s nuclear programme and the prospects for, and consequences of, a comprehensive international deal on the programme between Iran and the EU3+3 negotiating group, to which the UK belongs. The Committee is also considering Iran’s foreign policies and its human rights record and how these should affect the UK-Iran relationship.
