Committee hears from Dominic Raab and Suella Braverman in inquiry examining Brexit negotiations

Background

The Committee is undertaking its inquiry in order to examine the conduct, processes and outcomes of negotiations between the UK Government and the European Union regarding the UK's exit from the European Union. Hearings have already been held with David Davis MP and Steve Baker MP.

Purpose of the session

In this session, the Committee will hear firstly from Mr Raab, who succeeded Mr Davis as Brexit Secretary in July 2018. It will then question Mrs Braverman, who held the position of Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State between January-November 2018.

The Committee is expected to focus on their involvement in the UK-EU negotiations and the framework under which negotiations have been conducted; as well as the circumstances which led to their resignations last November.
