UK Exit from the EU inquiry

Inquiry

The European Scrutiny Committee is examining the conduct of negotiations on the UK’s exit from the European Union between the UK Government and EU.

Terms of reference

To examine the conduct, processes and outcomes of negotiations between the UK Government and the European Union regarding the UK’s exit from the European Union.

Public hearings

The Committee plans to hold public evidence sessions to support its inquiry and evidence gathering details of these sessions will be announced in due course once arrangements have been confirmed.

Chair's comment

On announcing the inquiry, Sir William Cash, Chairman of the Committee, said

"Given the present state of negotiations regarding the UK’s exit from the European Union, I and my Committee consider it important to bring as much clarity as possible to the Brexit process."
