The European Scrutiny Committee holds an evidence session with the Leader of the House of Commons on the European Scrutiny and the Government's involvement.

Purpose of the session
The Committee will discuss the Government's intentions for Parliamentary involvement in EU related matters.
In particular, it has asked the Leader to give evidence in the light of Government failures to:
- schedule important debates, such as that on CETA, in a timely manner;
- respect the Committee's recommendation for debates on the floor of the House; and
- make statements to the House (as well as the Committee) when scrutiny overrides occurred on documents awaiting debate.
