The Environmental Audit Committee holds an oral evidence session as part of its inquiry into soil health. Soil provides vital ecological functions underpinning food security, water management, biodiversity, and carbon storage.

Purpose of the session

The Environmental Audit Committee is investigating the state of the UK's soil, and whether the right policies and incentives are in place to ensure its long-term health. The Committee also seeks to hear what role soil health should play in Defra's upcoming 25-year plans.
