Chemicals Regulation after the UK has left the EU inquiry
Chemicals Regulation after the UK has left the EU inquiry
Inquiry
Following the Committee’s work in 2016-17 into the Future of chemicals regulation after the EU referendum there will be a one-off session asking what has changed and what more needs to be done to prepare the chemicals industry for the UK leaving the EU, as well as examining preparations for a no deal scenario. The session begins with a panel of industry experts looking at possible future outcomes for REACH, the EU chemicals regulatory framework.
The second panel will examine the impact of a new regulatory framework on UK businesses, both producers and downstream users, and seek recommendations on what Government needs to do to help the industry prepare for the UK leaving the EU.
