Meeting the UK’s housing demand

Inquiry

This inquiry investigates the demand for new housing in the UK and how barriers to meeting this demand can be overcome.

The inquiry considers the key factors shaping the type, tenure and quality of housing needed in the UK. It also examines a range of challenges to meet that demand including skills shortages in the construction industry and some specific aspects of the planning system.

The Committee published its report on 10 January 2022.
