Relations with the Welsh Government, regulation of sewage discharges, public transport and broadcasting all on the agenda as Welsh Secretary appears before MPs
In a wide-ranging evidence session, the Secretary of State and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Wales Office will be appearing before the Welsh Affairs Committee.
Meeting details
The evidence session offers members of the Committee the opportunity to ask ministers about a number of topical issues of interest to people across Wales. Many of these areas pick up on work of the Committee, with likely topics including water quality, broadcasting, public transport, including the railway network, and the Defence industry in Wales. More widely, the Committee is likely to wish to discuss the Secretary of State’s priorities, the relations between the Welsh and UK Governments and Senedd reform.
The hearing represents the third time the Secretary of State has appeared before the Committee, and the first time Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Fay Jones MP has appeared.
