Inquiry Civil Service People Survey

MPs scrutinise the recently published 2022 People Survey results, which show falling levels of satisfaction in every area surveyed – a trend that is consistent across Government departments. Findings show that satisfaction with pay and benefits fell dramatically from 39% to 28%.

Civil Service chiefs will be questioned on areas raised by previous witnesses including the:

  • Government’s approach to survey publication timing and controlling data access
  • extent that results are used to drive improvements across the civil service
  • usefulness of its headline measure, the Employee Engagement Index.
