MPs quiz Civil Service chiefs on employee satisfaction survey results
The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee questions Civil Service leaders on its employee satisfaction survey, in the third session of its Civil Service People Survey inquiry.
Meeting details
MPs scrutinise the recently published 2022 People Survey results, which show falling levels of satisfaction in every area surveyed – a trend that is consistent across Government departments. Findings show that satisfaction with pay and benefits fell dramatically from 39% to 28%.
Civil Service chiefs will be questioned on areas raised by previous witnesses including the:
- Government’s approach to survey publication timing and controlling data access
- extent that results are used to drive improvements across the civil service
- usefulness of its headline measure, the Employee Engagement Index.
