Plan for Jobs and employment support: Work and Pensions Committee to question DWP Ministers
The Work and Pensions Committee questions DWP Ministers Guy Opperman MP and Tom Pursglove MP in the final session of its inquiry looking at the effectiveness of Government support for those looking to enter the labour market.
Likely areas of questioning
The session will give MPs the chance to put to the Ministers and their officials issues raised so far in the Plan for Jobs and employment support inquiry. Questions are likely to focus on how DWP is helping specific groups, such as disabled, younger and older people, the role of JobCentre Plus and Work Coaches and the Government’s approach to sanctions.
The Ministers could also be asked about trends in the labour market and rates of economic inactivity and the DWP’s approach to transparency.
