How could the local economy benefit from Wylfa Newydd?

The Welsh Affairs Committee will be holding a further evidence session on Nuclear Energy in Wales, hearing from experts in the nuclear energy sector and a trade union.

In its third evidence session of the inquiry, members will be exploring the potential economic impacts of new nuclear developments in north Wales including job creation, skills, and supply chains. Potential developments in Wales include a large scale nuclear development at Wylfa – as set out in the British Energy Security Strategy published earlier this year – and the UK’s first small modular reactor at Trawsfynydd or Wylfa.
