Sarah Champion elected as Chair of International Development Committee

Following nominations and elections, Sarah Champion MP has been elected Chair of the Internatinoal Development Committee.
The result of the election was announced in the Chamber by the Speaker following a ballot.
Chair Comment
"I am delighted to be re-elected Chair of the International Development Committee.
Working collaboratively with colleagues from across the House, I will build on the effective work of the committee during the last Parliament; on issues ranging from debt relief to climate change, the rights of refugees and women and girls.
As Chair, I will help the committee to forensically analyse evidence and challenge ministers. To those who voted for me: I won’t let you down.”
