Health Secretary to face questions on timetable to regulate smoking and vaping

MPs will question Secretary of State Victoria Atkins on the timetable to allow regulation set out in the Tobacco and Vaping Bill to come into force.

Questions are also expected on a range of topics the committee has examined, including delays to dental reform posed by a government consultation, concerns about protection offered to whistleblowers on patient safety, levels of health spending announced in the Budget, challenges within cancer services with targets being missed, the backlog and the case for a men’s health strategy to tackle falling levels of life expectancy.
