Commons Select Committee

The Business and Trade Sub-Committee on National Security and Investment has been set up by the Business and Trade Select Committee to examine the work of the Investment Security Unit. The Unit, which is part of the Cabinet Office, considers whether investments in UK businesses pose a risk to national security under the National Security and Investment Act 2021. The Sub-Committee is chaired by Liam Byrne MP and has the same membership as the Business and Trade Select Committee.
