Background
The Committee's letter continues correspondence with the Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP, Security Minister's following his appearance before the Security and Justice Sub-Committee on Tuesday 16 June 2020. In the letter, the Committee cites evidence from Deputy Assistant Commissioner Richard Martin, the National Police Chiefs' Council's Lead for Brexit, which predicts a considerable impact on UK policing and, therefore, public safety should the negotiations between the UK and the EU fail.
The Committee looks forward to considering the Government's response.
