New investment for grassroots and schools cricket: Comment from CMS Committee Chair Dame Caroline Dinenage MP

Commenting on today’s announcement of new investment for grassroots and schools cricket, Chair of the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, Dame Caroline Dinenage MP, said
“The funding announced today to support grassroots and schools cricket provides a welcome boost to the ongoing efforts to ensure the sport is more open and welcoming to all. Encouraging and supporting as many children as possible from all backgrounds to play and enjoy the game from an early age will act as a catalyst for positive change across the sport.”
The Committee today published its report on equity in cricket and the ECB’s response to last year’s Independent Commission for Equity in Cricket report.
