The Parliamentary Art Collection is a publicly owned collection comprised of over 9,000 artworks that includes sculpture, oil paintings, works on paper, wall paintings, political commemoratives and textiles. An important part of the management of the Parliamentary Art Collection includes preserving these artworks, ensuring that they are available for future generations to enjoy and learn from.

Care of the Collection is managed by the bicameral Heritage Collections Team, who are made up of heritage professionals with a range of specialisms. The team provide regular updates to the Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art, advising of areas within the Collection that require conservation work and updating on the progress of specific conservation projects.
