The Defence Committee is today marking Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.
Chair's comments
Chair of the Defence Committee, Robert Courts MP, said:
“This weekend is a national opportunity to show our respect and gratitude to the men and women who have served our country, some of whom have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Our Armed Forces work tirelessly to defend our democratic freedoms and protect our way of life – we are in their debt. Remembrance Sunday is a time to honour the Services and come together as a nation.”
