Four new special inquiry committees recommended to House

The House of Lords Liaison Committee publishes a report in which it recommends to the House four proposals for new special inquiry committees in 2022.

The report will now go to the floor of the House for approval. The Committee recommends the following proposals to the House for appointment in 2022:
- A post-legislative scrutiny committee on the Children and Families Act 2014
- A special inquiry committee on the Fraud Act 2006 and digital fraud
- A special inquiry committee on Adult social care provision
- A special inquiry committee on Land use in England
